Our story

We built this because we lived it.

When our mother passed after 61 years of marriage, my brother, sister and I suddenly joined the Sandwich Generation — raising our own kids while caring for our 88-year-old father.

My brother lived with Dad, but his own health challenges meant care items occasionally slipped through the cracks. I lived close by, so much of the final responsibility landed on me. And our sister — who held Dad's healthcare power of attorney — coordinated everything from Atlanta, 250 miles away.

Three siblings. Three households. Two cities' worth of life. One father who deserved to be seen. We coordinated over calls, texts and memory — and we learned the hard way that love alone doesn't keep a care plan on track.

Transparency and trackability aren't features. For a family care team, they're the bedrock of coordination and accountability.

Be Seen Care is the tool we wish we'd had: one shared place where everyone — the sibling in the house, the one nearby, the one far away — can see what's done, what's due, and what needs a hand.

WZF A real family care team: the brother at home, the sibling nearby, the HPOA sister in Atlanta.
In their own words

Everyone in the circle carries something different.

These are the things people told us in interviews — the worries that don't fit in a group chat. Pick the role that sounds like your life.

Family coordinating from near and far

Why am I just now finding out that Dad missed his meds?
Son, lives 10 minutes away
I feel guilty when I'm with my kids, and guilty when I'm with Dad.
Daughter, two kids at home
Don't clutter the family group chat!
Son, one of four siblings

What Be Seen Care does

One shared hub. Zero “wait, who was handling that?”

Every feature is built on the same two principles: everyone on the team can see it, and everything is tracked.

Care Plans & Medication Reminders

Build a transparent, trackable daily care plan — meds, meals, walks, rest. Mark an item Critical and it gets escalating alerts, so a missed 9:00 AM blood-pressure pill never goes unnoticed.

  • Everyone sees what's done — and what isn't
  • Critical items alert by SMS, then voice call
  • No more “did anyone give him his pills?” texts

To-Dos for the whole team

Assign trackable one-off tasks to yourself or any team member — then watch them actually get done. The sibling nearby, the sibling at home, and the one three states away all pull from the same list.

  • “Pick up Dad's medication”
  • “Schedule Dad's cardiology appointment”
  • “Pay the overdue phone bill”

One shared, integrated day

Care plan tasks and doctor's appointments land on a single timeline the whole team can see. Add it to your own calendar so nothing surprises anyone.

  • Plan tasks and appointments together, by time
  • The HPOA sibling in Atlanta sees exactly what the sibling at home sees
  • “Add to Calendar” for all appointments

Quick Check-Ins & Notes

One-tap check-ins, photos and notes after every visit or call. Far-away family get the full picture at a glance — plus daily and weekly digest emails, no phone-tag required.

  • Photo updates that say more than a text
  • An immutable history of who did what, when
  • Daily & weekly digest emails

Rest assured — until you shouldn't. When everything's on track, Be Seen Care stays quiet. When something's missed, the right people know fast.

Try it yourself

It's 9:00 AM and Dad's critical blood-pressure med hasn't been marked done. Step through what the care team experiences. No sign-up needed.

Caregiver resources

Nobody hands you a manual for this. So we're building one — together.

When we first became caregivers, we had no idea how anything worked — and every caregiver we've interviewed says the same. The hardest part? Finding local help. So Be Seen Care pairs national know-how with crowdsourced, moderated local resources.

Local resources, by community

Free and low-cost services near where your loved one actually lives — the stuff that's hardest to find and matters most day to day. Crowdsourced by caregivers, moderated by local volunteers.
